How I Recovered 9,400 Hours of my Life by Being Intentional

Twelve years ago, I gave up my office in Downtown Los Angeles to work from home.

I was spending three hours a day driving back and forth.

Three Hours x 5 days x 4.333 Weeks = 65 Hours/Month Driving

I chose to invest that time by:

  • Taking my kids to school and picking them up every day,
  •  Being more intentional with my wife and our marriage,
  •  Being on time for kids school and sporting events,
  • Volunteering,
  • Exercising,
  • Eliminating expenses and wear and tear on our vehicle,
  • Reducing anxiety.

65 Hours x 12 Months x 12 years = 9,360 Hours of time with my family and self that are evident in the strong relationships I have with them and the meaningful times I can remember.

The hundreds of photos and stories prove it.

I know I missed out on many money-making opportunities, but I’m ok with that.

I built the life I want instead of letting circumstances consume me.

How are you living with intention as a business owner or professional?
