Make an effort not an excuse

I’ve been swimming for a few weeks now, but my body is still sore and adjusting to this new workout.

When the alarm sounded at 5:00 am, I hit the snooze button with laser accuracy.

My swimming lap reservation was at 7:00 am.

I blink and it’s 6:40.

“Ok…I’ll go, I’ll go, I’ll go” in my best Cameron Frye impersonation from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

I arrived at 7:15 and did some of my best laps.

I am glad I am stronger than my excuses.

I want it bad enough.
