If you have kids, especially teenagers, getting a chore done to your standard is hit-and-miss.
My wife and I push for excellence so they’ll build the muscle memory for when they go live on their own.
We have the “this isn’t a chore, you live here” conversation so there will be some pride in how they do it.
They did shoddy work as pre-teens, but it is nice to see them pick up the mantle now that they are older.
“Look at me, Dad. I’m replenishing the soap dispenser and you didn’t ask me!”
We have a good laugh.
Going above and beyond in business is the same.
The attention to detail,
The gestures no one asked of you, but do anyway,
Impact the customer experience.
Customers expect results. They paid for it.
If you can get them on fire for you, you become the water everyone seeks.
Give people the type of service they will talk about.
Be remarkable and your customers will be your loudest champions.
