We all want a better business than what we have today.
While interviewing a potential new client this week for #exitplanning advisory work, I listened to a man who was hurt and focused on the past.
The whole time he spoke, he kept telling me how I would not be a good client for him.
He:
- made mistakes with business partner selection,
- took on #SBA #EIDL business debt, and
- had a flat 2022
His competitors were winning on price, not value; something he isn’t willing to do.
When I explained to him how to forget the past and look at the potential of the business, his tone changed.
Soon he was telling me all about the great things he could do, the types of clients he wanted, and the strategies he could implement.

- DECIDE whether they should grow or sell on their terms.
